Recently, Our completed the delivery a 10,752 m² Venlo-type greenhouse in Saudi Arabia, it is a PC sheets greenhouse and fully integrated intelligent environmental controls. Designed specifically for the region's extreme arid climate, the facility delivers a scalable, high-efficiency horticultural solution aligned with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals for food security and agricultural modernization.
The multi-span structure with a 12-meter clear span and 4-meter bay spacing-optimized to support large-scale, mechanized cultivation. Roof and sidewalls are use the 8-mm double-wall hollow PC sheets, offering >82% light transmittance, Class A UV stabilization, and superior thermal insulation-critical for mitigating solar heat gain and maintaining stable internal temperatures under intense year-round irradiation.
Climate adaptation is central to the design: an integrated environmental control system includes (i) motorized external shading screens and reflective internal aluminum thermal screens-coordinately reducing peak indoor temperatures by 3–5°C during summer; (ii)cooling system capable of lowering incoming air temperature by 8–12°C; and (iii) automated top ridge ventilation coupled with a condensate recovery system-ensuring precise humidity management and eliminating drip-related crop stress.
Structurally, the framework employs hot-dip galvanized steel with a bolted, weld-free assembly-ensuring corrosion resistance and a guaranteed service life of ≥25 years. Foundations comply with Saudi Building Code (SBC) requirements for wind load Zone IV and seismic design category D (equivalent to intensity VIII), ensuring resilience against sandstorms and seismic events. The system integrates a standardized industrial-grade power distribution network and offers optional deployment of Kunsheng's proprietary agricultural IoT platform-enabling real-time monitoring of microclimate parameters, predictive equipment maintenance, and closed-loop automation for resource-efficient production.
Going forward, our company will continue advancing its portfolio of climate-resilient, digitally enabled greenhouse systems to support sustainable intensification of agriculture worldwide.
