Plastic Film Greenhouses: Growing Fresh Goodies Even When the Weather's Terrible
I've tried outdoor gardening and other setups, but glass greenhouses are by far my favorite-they're not just useful, they make growing things feel fun and low-stress, even for someone who's not a pro. Unlike outdoor beds, where I once lost a whole batch of lettuce to a random late frost in spring, a glass greenhouse keeps plants cozy and protected. It blocks the harsh, blistering sun that wilts my herbs in summer, but still lets in all the soft, natural light they need-way nicer than the harsh glow of grow lights that always made my plants look a little sad. They also keep pests out without harsh sprays; no more finding holes in my basil leaves from bugs, so the greens I grow taste cleaner, like they're supposed to. They don't take up much space-mine's just big enough for a few wooden planters-and work for any plant I want, from mint to cherry tomatoes, without needing any fancy, expensive gear. To me, the best part is gardening all year; there's something special about stepping into that warm, sunlit space on a cold winter morning to pick fresh herbs for my tea, and that's why I think they're way better than other gardening methods.
